Team Oxygen India in collaboration with STEP NorthEast, Highland Group and Maolkeki Foundation have come together to provide much-needed BiPAPs to the government. The 50 units, funded by ACT Grants, were received during a ceremony earlier today in the presence of the Chief Minister.
Oxygen Exchange is a platform run by volunteers who have been monitoring the oxygen demand-supply patterns in various states in India. The volunteers identified a gap in Manipur and therefore, decided to work with various donors, NGOs, the State Government and suppliers to fill this gap.Of the 50 units, 20 will be under the care of the State Health Agency while the remaining 30 will be distributed as per the needs of the State to various sites by the NGOs.
